Ride 2 School Day 2025
On Friday, March 21st, the whole school community was welcomed to participate in Ride2School Day. The day was a great success, with both students and staff getting active by either riding, walking, scooting or skating to school, kicking the day off with some fresh air and exercise.
Walking groups were organised at Flinders Street Station and South Yarra Station, where students were able to walk with their friends and add a social start to their day. Once everyone had arrived at school, we offered a free, healthy breakfast, with a huge selection, ranging from croissants and toast to yogurt cups with fruit and muesli. The breakfast was even extended to recess, where everyone had the opportunity to get a free snack! A special shoutout to Woolworths Park Street and Bakers Delight Knox who kindly sponsored us and allowed our breakfast to be so successful. Students and staff were given the opportunity to pedal on exercise bikes whilst the Sports Team prepared their yoghurt bowls, which was a much-needed energy boost for the morning.
For those who took part in the walk to school, we had raffle tickets located at our checkpoints and the gates, with fantastic prizes up for grabs, including skincare, drink bottles, coupons and accessories. Another shoutout to Cubetown, Rush and Port Phillip Council who also sponsored us and assisted with our raffle prizes. The raffle was drawn at lunch, and was followed by an epic dodgeball tournament, where students were able to verse their peers in a friendly competition.
It was heartwarming to see the whole community connect and socialise with each other, and a big thank you to everyone who got involved and contributed into making this day a huge success!
