What do we value?

We value the steps along the way.
___

Our school inspires active engagement in a breadth of experiences and encourages collaboration; our students understand that we learn best when we collaborate with others, and that achievement is most rewarding when it is shared.

We trust in the capacity of our young people to make meaningful contributions to the school - through collaboration with staff in learning and decision making, and through expansive leadership, co-curricular and social service opportunities at Mac.Rob.

The Mac.Rob Learner Model.

The Mac.Rob Learner Model serves to clearly articulate for our school community of students, parents and staff the fundamental features of effective learning. Through practising the strategies of five key learning principles, the Learner Model aims to develop a shared language and understanding of learning in our school community. It is designed to promote an understanding of the changes that take place in our brains when learning occurs, how our wellbeing impacts all stages of learning, and what the research tells us are the most effective ways to maximise our learning potential and outcomes.

We invite all members of our Mac.Rob community to explore the Learner Model website and consider the strategies outlined across the five key Learning Principles.

Our school values.

Our school values are present in everything we do at Mac.Rob, and form a guiding principle for the way we approach teaching, learning, and engaging with the community. Our students are expected to carefully consider how they can demonstrate these values in their day-to-day activities, in their interactions with their teachers and peers, and within their wider community of family and friends.

Mac.Rob’s four school values are:

Our aim is to develop curious, motivated, and critical thinkers who show compassion for others, pursue personal growth, demonstrate respect for their community, and explore disciplines and opportunities they are truly passionate about.

Motto: Potens Sui - Mastery of Self.

Mission: As an inclusive and globally-minded school, Mac.Rob’s mission is to provide an enriching environment for highly able students - one where there is belonging, collaboration, and continuous growth.
